Accidents & Trauma
Evaluating the emotional effect after an accident is arduous. It is not limited to the existence of emotional distress. We’ll also have to determine causality. That is, whether the distress is a direct result of the motor vehicle accident (and not from any other previous one). To do so, we’ll need to gather your in-depth history. We’ll also need to determine the credibility of your report. As a survivor, you may over-report or “hold it together,” be concerned with shameful feelings and under-report during the interview.
Most questions asked will have to do with the nature of your symptoms, how have you been handling them, associated believes, avoidant behavior and many other issues.
